Statement from Rob Wilson and Todd Griffith
Following the news that Canadian forward Todd Griffith will be leaving the Mincoff Vipers, both Todd and head coach Rob Wilson would like to make the following statement:
TODD GRIFFITH: returning home
Rob Wilson:
“As a coach I am very sad to see Todd go, Todd was one of my favourites as a player both on and off the ice and Todd has a great future ahead of him due to his abundance of talent.”
“If Todd continues to concentrate on the little things he is going to go very far in the game.”
“We will keep in touch and any time that Todd needs any help or advice I will offer this whenever or wherever I can.”
“All at the Vipers wish him all the best for the future.”
Todd Griffith:
“I would like to thank Rob Wilson and Jaimie Longmuir and all of the staff at the Vipers for a great time in England and an especially big thank you to all of the Vipers fans who have been great with me throughout.”
“Contrary to belief Rob Wilson and myself had a great working relationship and Rob has done amazing things for me and he does take care of his players and their families.”
“If it was not for Rob I would have never have got the opportunity to play in England and I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.”
“Unfortunately I have been made a great offer back in North America which I can not turn down and Rob understands the situation that this has put me in and Rob has put me first.”
